A Thank You & “Catch You On The Flip Side” From Adam Dellos
Well. This blog is definitely going to be bittersweet. A goal and dream I’ve had since I was just 16 has finally come true. I knew even in my teens that I had a deep desire to build a life that would allow me to retire before the age of 40. I’m proud and humbled to announce that it’s happening four years early! (I know I keep saying I’m 29 the last few years now, but the cat’s out of the bag – I’m an old man at 37.😉 I kid, I kid.)
This may seem like an impossible goal to some, but I knew with the proper planning, lots of perseverance when that plan went to shit, hard work, wisdom, sense of humor, and people by my side, it was very possible.
In fact, I’d like to start off by talking about and thanking the latter – the people by my side. None of this would have even been remotely possible if it weren’t for them – family, friends, and colleagues who believed me, supported me, helped me, and followed me throughout this entire journey. As well as a thank you to those that did not believe in me.; you were also fuel to keep me going. Wherever I met you on this journey, I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for impacting me, lifting me up, and helping this company and me get to where it is and I am today. THANK YOU.
I’m not usually one to be sappy or sentimental, but there’s a good reason that the timing to retire is right. My father passed away of cancer on December 30, 2022, which also just so happened to be the last day that I technically owned Adam D. Technology. When it rains, it most certainly pours, and not even a week later, my Uncle Buster unexpectedly passed away. Since then, life has an extra special, newly discovered meaning to it, and I am now making it my life’s mission to spend as much time as possible with friends and family. As I said, the timing just felt completely right. It’s funny how life lines up like that sometimes.
No, my retirement doesn’t look like a 37-year-old vegging out on the couch, eating freezer meals, and watching Wheel-Of-Fortune or The Bachelorette lol. I like to think of it as I’m moving onto the next exciting chapter of my life, growing more into who I’m supposed to be as both an individual and a professional.
What does retirement actually look like for me? I’ll address what’s happening with Adam D. Technology first. Exciting things are happening to it! I chose to sell Adam D. Technology to my friend and general manager, Trey Hart. Trey brings excellent leadership, extensive technical knowledge, and a passion for integrity and customer service to the table. I am so excited to see him and the team continue the legacy I started. My clients are in good hands, and I’m confident they will be taken care of better than I could have. (After all, isn’t that dream of owning any business – that it becomes better than when it first started?) Adam D. Technology will soon fully transform into Hart Technology Solutions. (More on that topic to come!)
As for me and what are my plans? I know no one wants to hear about silly old me, but this ‘retirement’ isn’t really retirement for me. I like to think of this life transition as a graduation. I’m graduating into more of who I truly am and what I’m really meant to do. I’m beyond grateful that Adam D. Technology has given me the foundation to pursue my dreams further.
As mentioned above, my new life’s mission is to make the most of it with family and friends. They are truly a priceless part of life. That’s why I’ve decided to bring living life to the fullest and live it powerfully into my next career – helping others to achieve their entrepreneurial goals! I’ve learned a thing or two by becoming a successful entrepreneur throughout the years. I’m so excited to share that experience and knowledge with others, especially through my D.E.A.L.E.R. methodology. Here’s a visual of my methodology:
This methodology is built to empower entrepreneurs to break free from limiting beliefs and transform their businesses into a valuable asset they can sell or scale. Our coaching helps them confidently transition away from day-to-day operations and reclaim their freedom to work on their own terms.
Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs to stop waiting for the “someday dream of coming true” and provide them with the keys to their total freedom now, not 40 years from now. We help entrepreneurs build successful and purpose-driven businesses that enable them to live fulfilling lives by providing personalized coaching, consulting, and training services. Our services help entrepreneurs achieve their goals, positively impact their world, and avoid the traps of burnout and overwhelm.

13,000 Miles of Friends and Family
Something else I’d like to share is that I recently got into the “van life” and took an eighteen-week (4.5 months) road trip last year. I went over 13,000 miles around the country and went to every Eastcoast state East of Missouri. It was a magical experience to visit many friends and family across the country and see many states that I had not seen as of last year. Sadly, that trip was the last time I could see my Uncle Buster alive, which was the point of my trip, to spend time with the people I love, as life is precious and short. Momento Mori!
Here’s a full gallery of pictures for you to check out of my trip!
Writing A Book
Lastly, upon my road trip last year, my cousin Roger inspired me to start writing a book. I am currently on chapter seven, and it is coming along well. I will be sure to share more as I progress. Please let me know if you want to hear more about it and possibly read some drafted chapters.
The working title of the book is “Balance is Bullshit,” and the working summary is: “Balance is Bullshit,” is a personal development book that challenges the notion of work-life balance and encourages readers to take strategic action and live their best life now. The book emphasizes that the way you view the world determines your actions and interactions with it. The author stresses the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive and growth-oriented people and the idea that wisdom and experience are earned, not innate. The book also emphasizes the importance of being coachable and maintaining a curious and inquisitive mindset to make life easier and more fulfilling. Ultimately, “Balance is Bullshit” inspires readers to get out of their heads, live in the present moment, and pursue their goals courageously
Organizations I’m Heavily Involved In
I cannot believe that I’ve been in The Centurions for eight (8) years meow. The time has flown! This past weekend (29 Apr 2023) was our most recent event Fast Times at Centurions High, led by Eric Jacobson. It was a resounding success, and I am so excited to be part of it year after year. Check out our website, www.thecenturions.com, for more information about our organization and so you can come party or donate money next year! I’d love your support.
This year I became a Big Brother to a wonderful young man, and it has been a lot of fun to get involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters. If you don’t know much about the organization, here’s their website, www.bbbs.org. There is a significant need for volunteers and donors. Please consider getting involved in whatever fashion you are able and willing.
The Greater Tucson Fire Foundation has been a significant part of my life since 2010, and I remain devoted to the cause. The Fire Foundation was founded to provide our firefighters with health and wellness services in the areas of cardiac health & fitness, cancer awareness and prevention, and mental health and wellness. It is a wonderful organization run by all volunteers, and we are making a massive impact on our Fire Service personnel in Tucson and surrounding areas. Check out our website for more information, www.tucsonfirefoundation.org
All in all, I am humbled and grateful for the fantastic clients, colleagues, and coworkers who helped shape Adam D. Technology into what it is and Hart Technology Solutions into the amazingness that it will be. I have no doubt Trey will guide it and grow it into something great!
A few people who have helped shape the company over the years are Marques C, Andrew D, Trey H, Rebecca T, Charlie Higgins, Debbie M, Marcia W, Erin V now H, Josh S, Matt B, Mike M, Patty V, Kyle L, Adam H, Mary Pat D, Jason E, Greg N, Amayea M, and many more. Thank you so very much for your contribution to the vision, and wherever we were on the journey together, please know that you have influenced and helped shape the rest of my life positively. I, too, hope I’ve contributed similarly to your lives.
Thank You & Please Keep In Touch,
